From Eye to LGNBrief description and instructions (DRAFT): With this applet, you can trace the path that visual information travels from the world to the Lateral Geniculate Nucleus (LGN) of the thalamus. The + sign on the left side of the screen is where the person is looking and is, therefore, the center of this person's visual world. Use the buttons at the bottom of the screen to choose what you want to highlight, whether it be the visual information that comes from right of the visual world or the information that travels through the right eye. The information that comes from the right of the visual world is always in red, and the information from the left is in green. The information that travels to the nasal half of the retina is always bright and the information that travels to the temporal half of the retina is always dark. Click here to open the applet. It will open a new window that will fill your screen.
